Piedmont Hospital’s Cancer Center presents Leukemia: The Latest News Paints a Brighter Future - a free, interactive and educational event featuring Piedmont physicians and Andrew Schorr, leukemia survivor and patient advocate.

The program is Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, with dinner and registration beginning at 6 p.m. and the program following from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Richard H. Piedmont Hospital oncologists Eric Mininberg, M.D., and William Jonas, M.D., will address the latest news from the American Society of Hematology meeting in Atlanta about chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Andrew Schorr, host of Patient Power national radio and online programs will lead the discussion as well as the question-and-answer period and also share his own personal experiences with CLL.
